Mithi Connect Server™ extending and providing web mail access to an MS Exchange setup.
IDRBT is the Certifying Authority of Banking Technologies for all the Public Sector Banks of India. It hosts multiple Exchange servers to provide email facility to the banks on their private network - Infinet.

The need was to enable Web mail access to the Exchange Servers via Infinet as well as Internet at a low cost and also to host domains for banks who did not want to host on Exchange Servers.

Mithi Connect Server was deployed as Front end Servers (one each on the Infinet and Internet) to enable Webmail access to the Exchange Servers. Some domains (about 40+) were hosted on Mithi Connect Server who were not on Exchange Servers.

Benefited from deploying front end servers at a low cost to enable anytime-anywhere access to end users. Also benefited from ease of managing a Linux based email system. End users also had a benefit of sending/receiving mails in 11 Indian languages.
