Deploy Connect Xf Email servers in a High Availability configuration within your own data centers to setup a collaboration infrastructure, which is fully controlled, managed and maintained by your IT team. Solution will also support site DR for high level redundancy in the entire setup. This solution is suitable for distributed sites, where the central site will receive mail directly from the Internet and will push mail for users at remote sites to the servers at those sites. The mail will be accessed by users either at the same site and/or from other nearby offices. Users may access the mail server either from the Internet, LAN or a private WAN which connects up the branch offices. Benefits
- Highly available setup with redundancy at all levels including site DR for a very high level redundancy.
- Complete control over the setup.
- Mail server at local data center to optimize on local mail flow and reduce bandwidth consumption for local mail
- Additional flexibility to add storage, archival at local site.
- Can deploy distributed site servers.

Mission Critical Email Server Features
|
Business Email Messaging
This solution configures all components with redundancies to provide a 99.9% uptime. Active Active relay servers: The MX pointers for the domains are pointed to the public IPs of Relay servers at the site in equal priority.
These servers either are Connect XF servers or may be third party security appliances or could even be a third party mail cleaning service. These relay servers or service receivs the mail from the internet, cleans the mail and delivers the mail to the Mail server for storing the user's mailbox. Similarly outgoing mail is delivered via the relay servers in fall back mode or the relay service. Multiple Internet links:In such a setup it is recommended to have strong and redundant Internet links which terminate in a firewall that can do the load balancing amongst the links. Additionally the data center has to be carrier grade to offer higher reliability to the servers being hosted there. Active Active Mail servers: Multiple state less mail servers are available to process any request by any user to provide hands free switch over in case any of the mail servers is to fail. Clustered Load Balancer servers/appliance: These handle the switchover when a mail server is to fail using their built in quality of service algorithms to pass connections by users to the mail servers. Scalable Storage: A NAS storage provides the scalability and reliability required to store the sensitive mail data and archive data.

Distributed site servers
This solution allows distributed site servers to optimize local mail flow, increase performance for mail access locally and reduce bandwidth consumption between the central site and remote sites.
The servers are setup in a Master Slave mode, to replicate the entire directory information over the LDAP backbone. The mail stores are divided amongst the sites depending on the number of users at each site.

- Integrate this with a corporate central directory for centralized authentication and centralized user property maintenance.
- Introduce a server for compliance and/or personal archiving.
- Introduce a front end server for a higher performing webmail client.
